A recent poll has discovered that 61 per cent of Britons hope to travel the world within the next ten years something that they could finance with the help of a TEFL course.
According to the survey, which was carried out by intotheblue.co.uk, travelling is Brits’ top priority over the next ten years.
A further 56 per cent said they want to swim with dolphins, while 53 per cent said that they would love to sky dive.
For 34 per cent of respondents, emigrating and taking up a job overseas – such as teaching English abroad – is a top ambition.
Many of the dreams on the list are ones that can be achieved while living and working abroad or travelling – such as climbing a mountain and volunteering for a charity – which 34 per cent and 11 per cent respectively wish to do in the future.
Meanwhile, British graduates may be among those tempted to take a teaching English overseas job.
data accessed last month by the Liberal Democrats showed that one in five people aged between 18 and 24 with a degree is currently unemployed, reported the Guardian.
